- No, you cannot have an existing battery energy storage system installed at the NMI.
- Can I claim BESS2 PRCs for my existing battery?
- Yes, you can claim BESS2 PRCs for your existing battery. You need to sign a 3 year VPP contract.
- Can I claim PRCs for batteries over 28kWh?
- No, the total Usable Capacity must be between 2kWh and 28kWh for both BESS1 and BESS2.
- Can I partially claim PRCs for batteries over 28kWh?
- No, if the battery system is over 28kWh, no PRCs can be created.
- I don't have a solar system, can I still claim PRCs?
- No, there must be a solar system installed in order to claim both BESS1 and BESS2 PRCs. You can install the entire system at the same time.
- Can I claim PRCs outside of New South Wales, Australia?
- No, PRCs are only available for Peak Demand Reduction Scheme in New South Wales, Australia.
- Can I claim more PRCs by joining a VPP?
- Yes, you get more PRCs for participating in a VPP for a minimum of 3 years.
